The Nook is a initiative of the Blackbutt and District Tourism and Heritage Assoc.
We have such a lot to be proud of in our local history and are endeavoring to restore as much as possible in display form to share with travellers and locals alike. Come and visit us at Nukku Nook.

About
Nukku Nook
was a Queensland State School building now belonging to the BDTH. Here, a group of local, amateur researchers and historians work toward creating a place for memories, displays and general public enjoyment.
New members always welcome. Come and share your knowledge of our local area.
Project
Projects are ongoing at Nukku Nook and as a relatively new venture we have much history and information to sift through, research and display. We enjoyed a wonderfully authentic "classroom" as part of the spring celebrations during the Bloomin' Beautiful Blackbutt Festival in Septemeber, 2013. A short video is able to be viewed at Nukku Nook.
The surrounding gardens are native to our region and predominantly self sustaining.
This environmental garden has been designed with plants and features to help compliment the era of the building.
There is always room for keen gardeners to join the happy band.
More Projects
All are welcome at Nukku Nook.
The group meet every second Friday morning from 9.30am to around 12 noon. A cuppa is always on hand too.
We discuss on-going projects and work on present ones. Our older residents sometimes come along and share their lovely memories of a time past.
